About

About the Club...

"Human conversation is the most ancient and easiest way to cultivate the conditions for change - personal change, community and organizational change, planetary change." - Margaret Wheatley

The David Suzuki Foundation Book Club is about turning inspiration into action. Read a great book, join a meaningful conversation and then help us create a sustainable world.

It's an opportunity for Canadians to take part in a broader discussion about our shared future. The program encourages citizens to gather in their communities and online to discuss important issues related to sustainability.

We hope that the conversations that result from the book club will inspire everyone to work together to protect the diversity of nature and our quality of life, now and for the future.

Built by Volunteers

The DSF Book Club was built by people like you. Each reading guide is created by DSF volunteers who read book club titles and together, develop discussion questions and action ideas.

Special thanks to the following individuals for their skill, energy and commitment in making the book club a success:

And thanks to all book club volunteers who've helped create the reading guides.

"This book club has inspired my last few choices for books and I haven't been disappointed! The choice in books has been very educational and interesting, but most importantly very engaging and exciting to read!"

- Kaitlin Richardson, Markham ON
